金乌西坠兔东升
日夜循环至古今
僧道得知无不利
士农工商各从心
The Golden Crow sets as the Jade Rabbit rises,
Days and nights cycle since the world begins.
The Buddhist or Tao practitioners will gain much,
So will the scholar, peasant, worker or merchant.
Note/注:
– 金乌,指太阳。兔子,指月亮。
– Golden Crow refers to the Sun while the Jade Rabbit or simply Rabbits refers to the Moon.
签意/Meaning
阴阳消长之象。凡事遂意之兆也。
The exchange of Yin and Yang symbolizes the natural order. Harmony will prevail as things take its natural cause.
Note/注:
– 在易经里「阴」是指生命上较柔和的事物如女人、月亮等,而「阳」则指较刚强的事物如男人、太阳、光等。而只有当阴阳这两股力量平衡和谐时,事情才会成功。
– In the Chinese “Book of changes”, “Yin” (阴), refers to the feminine aspects of life and is represented by objects like the Moon and the woman while, “Yang” (阳) is more masculine and is represented by objects like the Sun and the man. Only when the two forces are balanced, will harmony preside and things will be successful.
解曰/Interpretation
心中无事 所作有功 如弓上箭 一发当空
Free your heart of cares. Your efforts will be rewarded. Like an arrow on a bow, it will be a clear shot on release.
